TOOL KITS

TOOL KITS:

Thank you to everyone for helping to get your child’s Tool Kit (TK) up and running. (See tool kit set up note sent home.) They will be using them every day, and taking them home every night. Much of the class work goes into the TK behind the appropriate tab. Ongoing study guides, workbook pages, support materials, etc. for individual units and for general learning will be placed in the TK. Some class work I pick up to keep in your child’s portfolio, but most of it will be found in the TK. This allows you child to have access to information about current units at all times for reference. Once a unit is completed, these materials will be removed, stapled and either kept for a portfolio or sent home. Behind the homework tab is where you will find homework for the night, (with the exception of the spelling lists, which are behind theSpelling tab).  Your child should bring the TK to and from school every day.  Just a heads up - there are cheap binders out there, but they don't tend to hold up well and may need to be replaced two or three times during the year.  Zippered binder styles appear to last best overall. It is very important that your child keep their TK neat and organized, and that it is large enough to accommodate their materials and the agenda.
